Golden in colour, large white coloured head, great retention, excellent lacing. The aroma is grainy and floral, lightly spicy, grassy and bready. The flavour is of grassy and herbal hops, some fruit and spice, lightly sweet. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes clean, some bitterness, dry. I seemed to like this one more then the others here. Yes it is another micro brewed Blond Ale from Quebec but this one seems to be a step ahead then most.

341ml bottle from <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/quebec/gatineau/la-trappe-a-fromage/2146.htm target=blank>La Trappe a Fromage in Gatineau, Quebec for $1.99.

Bof... Aroma somewhat fruity with hints of apricots, honey and clove like. Bottle was 341 ml, filled half inch to the cap. Medium carbonation with almost no head. Flavour thin, not lasting and on the dry side. Looks like they’ve used Frontenac malt, but wort had a gravity too low. If Frontenac was in fact used, this is a deceiving product. Is it an ale or a lager? Label won’t say... One positive side, I like the idea of a bio beer.

[549-20070820] 341mL. Floral grassy spices in the aroma hints at orange peel and fresh hidden apple juice. Clear, dark yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Light-medium body is gassy. Very interesting aroma tends to diminish its attractiveness as the head fades, kudos for organicalness.

Small white head. Pale yellow body with small floating particles and carbonation. Dense spicy ripe fruit aroma, kind of strong. Sweetish mealy fruity taste with a soft metal background. Dry, softly metallic aftertaste. It’s OK. (0.341l bottle from Depanneur Peel.)

Belle broue, goût naturel. On dirait que l’on goûte à un parfum de plante. Peu de pétillement, mais beaucoup d’effervescence. Goût super doux! Aucun arrière-goût âcre. Citron adouci de miel.
