On tap at La Cheval Blanc. Pours a clear brown amber with a very thick white head. Light hoppy nose, with a lot of grain behind it. Medium bodied, and metallic. Lager style finish with a bit of hoppy bitterness, and even more metal. Couldn’t finish this one.

interesting aroma, ièm smelling some funk, in here among the hops. Some slight malt, its tasty, and a good amber, but ièm getting some funk that differenciates it from others.

Enjoyed on-tap at the brewpub. Grapefruit aroma is prominent. Amber with white head, lace. Medium mouthfeel, average carbonation. Malty and tasty, surprisingly only 28 IBU.

[521-20070811] Tap @ Cheval Blanc (Montréal, QC). Same floral yeast as its brothers, though not a flattering feature. Clear, amber brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Medium alcohol flavour continues floral yeast and a strange plant-like finish. Smooth medium body. Not impressive, a little disappointing.

On tap at the brewpub in Oct ’05. 5oz taster. Amazingly enough, it is amber colored. Aroma is mild caramel with some light hops. The taste is sweetish caramel and toffee with a moderate (for an amber ale) bitter finish. Pleasant enough, but amber ale is typically not a very exciting style. Nice example though, just nothing special.

Not really my thing, thought it was watery. Fruity, hazy....not good...but not the worst

Première de quatre verres de dégustations. Un goût légé de noix, de caramel et de fruit. Un arrière goût plaisant. Bon

Amber-brown color, with a shy white head, caramel malt, hint of nuttiness, faint floral hops in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp caramel malt character, slightly nutty, with a fruity note flavor, leading towards a fruity and low almondy bitter finish.
