On tap at La Cheval Blanc as “Pale Ale Belge”, though their site listed it as a renaming of what they used to call "ATCHOUFFE!" Pours a hazy gold with a medium thick white head. Aromas are promising with some nice citrus notes and a little bit of yeast. Sadly however, appearances and aroma are where the fun stops here. Body is thin and watery and tastes like cilantro. No kidding, flat out tastes like cilantro, and Nyquil. The medicinal quality on here is disturbing. Ends with a little bit of bitterness. This one was flat out disgusting. Couldn’t finish it.

Interesting aroma of saaz hops with a herbal presence, spices and yeast. The flavor is very sharp and dry, saaz hops blend well with the spices, herbs and yeast while bitterness appears in the end, the mouthfeel is creamy. This beer seems much improved if I compare with previous ratings, it was quite pleasant. LadySusan (488), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada

You can taste and smell some citrus fruits, but there is something missing to call it a Belgium ale, just not enough body to it. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

Citrus fruits (mainly peach) aroma. This very yeasty and cake-like malty body gives a floury mouthfeel/taste. Well balanced by a generous amount of hops. Hops feel really belgian but with a higher bitterness level than usual. Long dry bitter and herbal finish. Well brewed beer that achieves what it wants to achieve but I have a problem with a Belgian Pale Ale. Inappropriate clash of styles, like full contact chess or extreme macramé. Arome de blé citroné, un peu d’épice et un peu sec. Goût de malte sec et faiblement amère, avec un soupson d’herbe. Une arrière goût implaissant.
