The nose is lightly caramelly with lots of diacetyl and subtle molasses. The flavor has a tinge of hops and nutty character; a creamy body and very mellow impact. Still tons of diacetyl though as you drink it. I like how creamy and smooth it is but past that, there’s nothing to look at. Double bagger? bhensonb (4389), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 15, 2009 Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours a dark reddish amber with a slight white head. Aromas of spice and malt. This is an alt? Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is firm brown malt with minimal hop. A little bready/nutty. Some grassy hop bitter in the finish. On reflection, it is an alt. Just forgot those can be tasty. Which this is. ratman197 (3270), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Aromas of earthiness, burnt carmel and light cocoa. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2009 12-oz. bottle. Appears to be either an alias or a re-name of their existing altbier, except with more Marshall Mathers flavoring. Two altbiers for one PNW brewery just seems like too many, anyway. Pours a murky dark brown with a wispy and very trnasient grayish head. Zzzz. Big earthy, slightly peppery, wet-leaf-y nose. Bold! Light watery body. Earth, wet leavess, a little toast on the mid-palate, dryingly roasty finish. Seems to pick up some iced tea in there somewhere along the way, but not too much; definitely not out of balance with it. Really a nice clean, drinkable effort. riversideAK (2803), Shoreline, Washington, USA

Pours amber with a thin head. The flavor is mostly toasty and a little sweet. Some hop bitterness cleanses the palate in the finish. 5000 (2800), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 2, 2010 Bottle:   Caramel in color, thin sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Basement malts, wet and damp, slight cardboard.   Much the same on the tongue.   A little mealy and metallic on the backside.   Thin, well at least seems a little lighter than most.   Faint biscuit.   A little too light for my tastes.   Not good...
