Commercial Description:
Friesian Pilsener is a pale golden colored lager, brewed to quench the summer thirst of the many worthy denizens of the Great Pacific Northwest. This Pilsener is medium bodied, brewed with a truly authentic Pilsener malt and a large percentage of Munich malt to create a beer with the classic German Pilsener character. In the traditional method, we have brewed this Leavenworth Beer with imported German and Czech hops for a crisp, assertive hop bitterness and aroma.

Deep gold colour with light sparkle and a thin head. Herbal hop nose has a light grassiness and thin baguettey malts underpinning. Crisp, moderate bitterness with light caramel accent to the bready pale malts. Not bad, not bad. I like a pils to have a little more of either punch or nuance but this is perfectly acceptable. Draught, Anthony’s in SeaTac Airporterl

Blonde copper color with white sticky head & some lacing. The aroma is tart with lager 2-row and watery flavor. Medium bodied for the style & fruity for a lager. Finishes toasty & grassy.

Seventh stop during the ABA Beer Tour ’07 in Olympia, Washington. Sampled on tap at the Fish Tale brewpub. Pours a clear golden pale yellow brew with a lumpy white head with good retention. Aroma of light bread-like malt, soem grassy hops and a touch of peppery spice. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with a light bread malt flavor. Finish is slightly watery with an average bitter aftertaste.

Draft. Golden amber beer with a nice off-white head. Slight grassy/hay aroma. Slight spicy, slight grass, clean malt flavor. Very clean and well balanced. Medium body. Lingering spice/grass/malt.
