SDbruboy (1821), San Diego, California, USA Aug 16, 2008 On draft at Fishbowl (Fish Brewpub) in Olympia, WA. Arrived in glass a slightly hazy amber color, with a small white head that leaves generous lace. Aroma is toasty, floral and citrus with evergreen hop notes. Flavor profile matches aroma with nice toasty malts and crisp NW hops, citrus, floral and modest pine. Medium body and good crisp carbonation. Enjoyable indeed. HoppyGuy (100), USA May 27, 2008 On tap at Brooklyn Restaurant, Seattle. Pours a hazy light copper color with a full off-white head. It has an aroma of pine and hops, which I found to be appealing. Complex flavor, with a presence of citrus, but the hops is up front and prominent. Good mouthfeel with a dry finish. If you like hoppy beers like I do, you’ll probably love this one. Pair with a spinach salad topped with feta cheese, dried cranberries and balsamic vinegarette dressing. Add to that a pan-fried trout (in butter, of course), along with roasted potatoes. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 13, 2007 on tap-pours a disappearing off white head that laces and cloudy amber color. Aroma is c hop, secondary medium malt. Taste is nice, c hop-some bitter, secondary medium malt-sweet. Sessionable. OK/mild carbonation. Skyview (2851), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 13, 2007 Seventh stop during the ABA Beer Tour ’07 in Olympia, Washington. Sampled on tap at the Fish Tale brewpub. Pours a cloudy golden amber brew with a thin white head that quickly dissolves to a white ring. Aroma of grapefruit, piney hops, caramel malt and a little Ivory soap. Taste is loaded with heavy grapefruit-ish flavor, medium bodied with light carbonation. Finish is not as heavy as the flavor but has a slow lingering citrusy aftertaste. BennyTicklez (621), USA Jan 21, 2007 WA Cask Beer Fest ’06. Pours dark yellow. Citrus notes in the aroma. Taste is caramel tones and more citrus. Good balance. Very drinkable.
