Aroma of malt, biscuit and woodland. Full malty flavour, with a touch of pine, a touch of toast and a touch of rusk. Medium hop finish. Lekker!

Pours deep grainy ruddied medium amber with a dense but too-brief tan head. Nice brown bread, biscuit, and light caramel nose. Creamy, slightly grainy medium body. No flaws on the mid-palate. Not the single most amazing mid-palate for flavors, but boasts some brown bread, caramel, wet leaves, and a bit of toast. Nice stuff. Clean finish. raphael (415), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 30, 2008 on tap at mickey finns. aromas of wheat toast, dark caramel, walnuts. crisp copper red color with an off-white head.has appropriate carbonation and a little weight in the mouth. flavors of dark caramel, whole wheat bread, plum. the crispness fo the falvors here makes this a superior amber/red to me, since others fo this type have an odd flavor patch that i cant describe but dont like. beerinmarch (2806), Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2008 On cask at Bailey’s taproom. Pours red/copper with a bubbley off-white head. Nutty malts up front, fruity with a soft toasty caramel character. I really enjoyed the balance this beer had, the pairing of the toasty malts and the citrus hops was well done, the cask thinned it all out and subdued the hops a bit, but it still was delicious. Aroma is fruity and hoppy. Pale candyish biscuity malt. Fruity, caramel malt, some yeastiness and a bit of resiny and citrusy hop flavour. Yeast throws loads of raspberry/cherry esters with with some sweet C-hops. Rentalman (103), British Columbia, Canada

Smells really cleanly brewed with a bit of sweetness citrus. Oranges and sweetness right up front and then fading to a very smooth end. Very little bitterness on the finish. The flavor is incrediblly orange. I love this beer. I drove an hour to have another pint (or two) It reminds me of humbolt red nectar. HH (165), Everett, Washington, USA
