BillKismet (1444), Seattle, Washington, USA May 13, 2007 Gorgeous mahogany-cedar color with crisp head. Oak-marsala nose increases its presence with warming, though the aroma is heavy and vinous and does not transport well. Marsala like body with refined alcohol accents. Packs a punch, but is exquisite. Well-aged malts are sweet, but not grainy. Dryish finish. acrdz (4386), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 3, 2005 Cloudy rusty colored brown. Toasty, gritty and leafy whiskey flavor. Very good stuff. Some brady flavors, some sharp and bitter IIPA-like hop bite, though supported by a very thick and sour malt body. Smells kind of cheese-like and moldy, but not in a bad way. A big, toasty, fat delicious dunkelweizen/barley wine/brown ale hybrid.
