Seems thicker than other meads that I’ve had thus far. Nice, deep golden amber body. The aroma’s honey sweet with wood, nuts, and apples blended in. Same with the flavor, although the alocohol presence is more pronounced. Sticky sweet finish. Not too shabby.

Fort Wayne Mead Tasting. This bottled mead poured a small almost non-existent head of clear fine to large sized bubbles that left behind a dark brown transparent uncarbonated body. The aroma was very nice with a strong malt caramel honey note. The flavor was also very strong with honey and other unnoted flavors that were well balanced and made the mead very good over all. An excellent mead that is well recommended.

750ml. bottle at Fort Wayne Mead Tasting last night. No head poured, transparent, uncarbonated, and an orange hue. Aroma was sweet, slight honey note, and alcohol. Sweet, honey flavor. Delicious! Vinuous mouthfeel, yet smooth. A very good mead IMO and well worth trying.

Honey, alcohol and fruit in the aroma. Copper with zero head. Sweet peppers and alcohol, with a chocolate liqueur aftertaste. Sweet, high alcohol is noted. A fine offering! My first, real Mead, Thanks to wohlfs!

Well let’s say I first poured this in a small glass, once I put it to my nose, I then poured it into a “Brandy Snifter”, it deserves a “Liquor Glass”, “Holy Cow”, and this is going to be a “Hoot”!

The color that of a fine “Brandy” or “Bourbon” if your prefer, a deep crystal clear amber and of course there’s no such thing as head or lace. Nose is that of “Sweet Raw Honey” fresh from the hive, massive alcohol aroma, musk and mushroom like, amazing the only thing I can say. Massively sweet at the start, middling in its feel to the palate, finish that of a five star brandy, but with a sweetness that is enormously pleasing and one that takes you to “Elysium”, the warming that spreads through the tummy is pleasant and the aftertaste quite dry, something that a lover of “Mead” should try, as I sample more and more Mead’s I’m simply floored by their “Magnificence”, their complexity, their capability of rendering you “speechless” and something that leaves me totally overwhelmed, by a beverage that I totally overlooked for years, “Mistake, Big Mistake”, is all I can say.

Shared a bottle with rudolf and wohlfs after the buffalo brewfest (thanks guys). Dark orange pour. Lots of sweet alcohol in aroma. Taste is very in your face, as poochie would say: lots of alcohol (almost too much), but the sweet honey taste soothes it, and makes it very drinkable. A wonderful mead and, after failing miserably with my own honey homebrew, a very welcome pleasant experience. And at 14%, surprisingly quite drinkable.

Sampled at Polish Fest in Milwaukee. The mead pours to a pancake syrup colored body. The aroma is interesting. I swear it smells like port wine mixed with sweet honey. The flavor is sweet port wine-ish with hints of oak and honey. The palate is sweet, sticky, interesting.
