Commercial Description:
A classic Yorkshire Bitter. Finest English hops blend perfectly with our unique Yorkshire yeast to create a full flavoured beer with a superb hoppy finish.

A Sim rate (cask at the Market no-Porter): Putty, rubber and a bit of lemon in the aroma. Pretty bland really. The flavour’s almost unpleasant. Sweet, but more like store brand Angel Delight than the real thing. Bitter, like lemon squash without the water. If this is Leeds’ best, then god help them!

Cask in Blackfriars. Aroma is buttery, sweet pale malts, fruity character off the yeast. Taste is similar diacetyl is defo in here but the sweetness and small citrus and earthy notes help it along.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Copper, off white head. Slightly yeasty buttery aroma. Buttery bitter, not my favourite. Some earthy hop on end. Possible diacetyl.

Aug 07 Cask conditioned @ Brigantes, York. Some caramel with mild maltiness and dusty hops. Fairly traditional but with more bitterness than might normally be expected.

Cask at Peterborough Beer Fest. Deep golden. Salty grainy nose. Fruity and medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Pleasant biscuity malt flavour followed by a salty finish with good bitterness. A solid bitter.
