hughie (2252), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Aug 24, 2008 Cask, gravity, at Peterborough BF ’08. Gold with a small white head. Distinctive grassy, new mown hay aroma with some maltiness slowly emerging. Indeterminate dishwater taste with quite strong bitterness to finish. Didn’t really like this. renffisch (455), london, Greater London, England Jul 4, 2008 cask @ the wenlock. Fruity hop nose with a bit of leather, cardbord and mouldy cheese. Clearest gold colour, little white head, no lace. Nice strong dry bitter taste with a thick treacle base, floral and herbal in the finish. dry long bitter finish, clean mouthfeel. loved the fact it got served in a stella glass of all things... Fin (2344), Merton, Oxfordshire, England May 29, 2008 Cask conditioned at FFTMC, Oxford, 28-05-08 Pours straw colour, very pale, with a small white clingy head. As the description states and I duly noted there were some lovely light hoppy floral notes. This is a jolly decent bitter, simple citrusy flavours, good bitterness, some malts showing, dry at end. This is a cracking session beer that was very tasty, I really liked this beer. Pub (4102), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Apr 13, 2008 Cask conditioned at Coventry Beer Festival ’08. Cloudy gold with no head. Hopefully I’ll get to rate this again, because this is clearly not the best sample seen of this beer. There is however still evidence of its hoppy nature, nice and drying on the palate, quite citrusy, but overall the beer on this occasion was quite flabby and gone over. Magic_dave6 (3975), London, Greater London, England Feb 20, 2008 Cask in Bon Accord. Aroma is floural and citrus hop, pale malts balance. Taste is super drinkable, tasty balanced and exactly what i needed.
