Mes_and_Sim (4487), Highgate, Greater London, England Jun 29, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at the Crown Inn, Stockport. Bright gold with a thin white head. Lemony hop aroma with an excellent earthy malt base and a little bit of pepper on top. Full on pungent hoppage in the mouth, plenty of fruit and some good earthy notes in the background. Lovely bitter lemon finish with a slight biscuity hint. Decent stuff. leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Jun 22, 2008 Cask, The Cow and Plough, Stoughton. Clear gold with a white head. Aromas are biscuit malts with citrus, spices and some sulphur. Hints of apricot. Flavours are bitter and hoppy with grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Has a long dry aftertaste.. Refreshing. Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Jun 21, 2008 Cask in Blackfriars. Aroma is pale biscuity malts, citrus and grassy hop, however small plasticy note is here. Taste is similar but without the plasticy note, quite drinkable indeed, but a little boring.
