JCB (1716), Durham, North Carolina, USA Sep 4, 2009 Bottle shared by Turdferguson at the CC gathering - thanks, Sam! Very inviting pale orange pour, yeasty but somehow bright and alive with carbonation. Big bottle-conditioned head releases a bad-ass aroma of brett, hops, and subtle oak. Abundant mouthfeel, and a fantastic flavor, a well-hopped Belgian pale, with tons of yeast and funk, almost like a more dry Wild Devil. Delish! ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 3, 2009 Thanks to Sam for sharing this! I’ve been wanting to try this for some time and It didn’t disappoint! Bright orange pour with a slight haze. Fluff white head and spotty lace. Grass, oak, orange zest, toast and leather aroma. Nice floral notes accompanied by a perfect balance of acidity. Dry leathery finish kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Aug 31, 2009

PilsnerPeter (2587), Flushing, New York, USA Aug 20, 2009 Bottle: Effervescent copper with a hug frothy light tan head that retains the entire time. Crisp and dry aroma- bright orange peel, brett, haystack rusticness, mild leather and lemon rind. Nice rustic Orval like character. Crisp and fluffy body. Very dry flavor. Dry woody oak at the fore with some mildly hempy resins, a touch of old orange peel with a long bitter and minerally finish with evident leathery brett character throughout. Nice! hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2009 Bottle… Murky orange/copper ale with a large, fluffy, white head. Excellent retention. The aroma is very fruity, acidic and funky with bugs galore. Granny Smith apple stands out. Medium to full-bodied and lightly creamy with spritzy carbonation. Tart, yet well-bittered. Woody and citric. Finishes tangy and mildly bitter. Thanks go out to northernbrews for shipping the bottle to me! fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 7, 2009 Bottle. Aroma is of a JP barrel with bright citrus notes added on. Flavor quite sour and bretty with just those citrus notes to differentiate it from other JP beers. Decently tasty and all, but I still don’t get it. Also a bitch to chug even a few ounces of it. zapprentice (309), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 2, 2009 Aroma is sour, with not many of distinct notes. Flavor is sour with possibly some fruits in there. Nothing great LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 31, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of sour oak. Flavor is more sour, some lemon, dry hops, and oak. Of course, tastes very similar to all the other Jolly Pumpkin Belgian ales. It is a decent beer with a nice dry finish.
