Pours a slightly hazed deep orange. Funk & oak dominate the hops but in a good way. Tartness done the JP way. Very good beer BigBeer45 (693), Troy, Michigan, USA

pours a hazy red and orange with peach hints with a good sized head of white and off-white bubbles, plenty of effervescence in this brew making a bubbled island in the center of the cover and drifting their way up the sides of the glass, there is nice white lacing on the glass,
aromas of faint toasted malt and caramel, berry and light fruit fragrances of Raspberry, Peach and Apple, grapefruit and lemon citrus, Jolly Pumpkin sour scents, a mixture of floral fragrances, earthy funk, light spice and honey sweetness, yeast, and wood character,
flavors of light pale malt and caramel, some bread malt sweetness, Jolly Pumpkin sour observed in the JP ales, drink starts off with some sweetness but turns sour quickly, finishes dry with some dusty yeast and floral spice trailing after the finish,
mouth feel is light and feels great on the palate, a great tasting ale and a good Summer thirst quencher,
I continue to be amazed by the ales made by Jolly Pumpkin brewery.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Bottle: Effervescent copper with a hug frothy light tan head that retains the entire time. Crisp and dry aroma- bright orange peel, brett, haystack rusticness, mild leather and lemon rind. Nice rustic Orval like character. Crisp and fluffy body. Very dry flavor. Dry woody oak at the fore with some mildly hempy resins, a touch of old orange peel with a long bitter and minerally finish with evident leathery brett character throughout. Nice! ucusty (1887), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Bottle shared by MI2CA. Pours amber working on brown with a sticky white head. Fruity, perfume aroma with a touch of oak, peaches, and some dusty notes. There quite a bit of oak and hops in the flavor with maybe a bit of a brett note. Medium/full bodied with average carbonation, and a dry finish. Really good beer, but I’m not sure that its worth what Ted told me he paid for it. drewbeerme (2282), Chicago, Illinois, USA
