Pours a beautiful cloudy amber/yellow with a well maintained fluffy white head. Smells of perfumy flowers, dough, coriander, oranges, lemons and lots of untamed wild character. None of the oak comes through on the nose. As the beer warms, some soapy qualities begin to emerge. Taste is of lemons with an underlying sourness. Again, no oak, but lots of interesting perfumy qualities. Some coriander is present but not overwhelming. Some peppery splashes and lemon are present on the mouthfeel. Finish is lightly sour and very quaffable. Well done! IrishBoy (2719), Bakersfield, California, USA

Hazy gold with a big glassing-lacing, slow recedeing white head; Flavor is spicy and tart, yeasty and wheaty! Very enjoyable. Seems exceptionally well balanced and I like it as well or better than any of the others I’ve had, brewed by JP! Underrated! scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 25, 2007 Hazy straw, thin foamy white head. Screams Jolly Pumpkin from the get go. Nose is full of sharp lemony oak tones, juicy citric notes, funk, and just a slight hint of pear. Flavor is similar with funky lemon, touches of spice, underlying wood notes, and a decent orange peel bitterness rounding it out. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, soft bitter finish. I might be in the minority here, but I freakin loved this brew. Thanks Hopscotch! ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

Tasty, belgian white background; well-balanced brett and citrus hops; some coriander and orange peel. Medium, tart and citrus finish.
