| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 23, 2009 33cl bottle poured into a Rochefort Trappist glass. Amber brown with a tall tan head. Aroma is sweet malt with a bit of candy sugar. Flavor is basically the same with some roastiness. Probably the sweetest dubbel I’ve tasted. Highly carbonated. Finish is sweet and then fades into bitter. Not a bad beer but odd for a dubbel. cfrancis (349), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

Nice balanced belgian. BeerChaser0078 (372), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours very dark brownish ruby with a light tan head that doesn’t last very long. Aroma is of aniseed, dark fruit and toffee. Flavour is similar but more balanced: the aniseed, toffee and dark fruit are present but are integrated so that none dominates, plus there are hints of cola and herbs. Quite highly carbonated and with a longish herbal/aniseed finish, this is an interesting beer but not one I would drink very often. Quinten (969), zaandam, Netherlands
