Bottle for Vday. Pours a dark brown and a light brown head. Aroma is a bit fruit but mainly malt. Flavor sweet at first but then quite hoppy with a lingering bitterness. In between, some clear toffee/caramel notes. Very very enjoyable.

33cl bottle poured into a Rochefort Trappist glass. Amber brown with a tall tan head. Aroma is sweet malt with a bit of candy sugar. Flavor is basically the same with some roastiness. Probably the sweetest dubbel I’ve tasted. Highly carbonated. Finish is sweet and then fades into bitter. Not a bad beer but odd for a dubbel.

Pours a cloudy brown with a beige head. Aroma is malt, floral and sweet honey. Taste is well balanced. Smooth mouthfeel with a little bitterness from alcohol. Flavours of honey, fruit, malt and hop. Nice little beer, enjoyed the triple more.

Draught, creamy light beige head, dark brown colour and a little hazy, aroma is a little muted but featuring some brown sugar and some fruit. Complex flavours of honey roasted coffee, brown sugar, dates. Creamy mouthfeel and a long honey and dried fruits sweet and sour aftertaste with a light dryish sensation. Good solid dubbel.

Pours dark brown with a tan nice head, aroma of acids, metal, plum and some floral notes, flavors malt, nuts, chocolate and raisins, finishes with a moderate hops and honey-caramel aftertaste, crisp and medium bodied. Nice balanced belgian.

Bottle. Pours very dark brownish ruby with a light tan head that doesn’t last very long. Aroma is of aniseed, dark fruit and toffee. Flavour is similar but more balanced: the aniseed, toffee and dark fruit are present but are integrated so that none dominates, plus there are hints of cola and herbs. Quite highly carbonated and with a longish herbal/aniseed finish, this is an interesting beer but not one I would drink very often.

At vonk slijterij zaandam, bottle 330ml, dark amber/red, full lasting head, lots of red fruits and sweets like brown sugar, some caramel and marsepein, gentle sour at the end, very nice one.

330 ml bottle. Liège, Belgium. Dark reddish colour with small to medium-size offwhite head. Dark fruits, sweetness and chocolate in aroma. Flavour is also dark fruity, sweet, sugary and chocolatey. Nothing wrong.
