| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours very dark brownish ruby with a light tan head that doesn’t last very long. Aroma is of aniseed, dark fruit and toffee. Flavour is similar but more balanced: the aniseed, toffee and dark fruit are present but are integrated so that none dominates, plus there are hints of cola and herbs. Quite highly carbonated and with a longish herbal/aniseed finish, this is an interesting beer but not one I would drink very often. Quinten (966), zaandam, Netherlands

hoppy feel. Nice dark-fruity mouthfeel with toffee and sugar candy sweetness and a very distinct lasting herbal dryness at the back of the tounge. Balanced body with perfect carbonation. Pleasant dark ale.
