Massively overrated. Pours a mahogany color with some reddish highlights. Head is tope colored amd medium sized with a nice and thick feel. Nose is muted mostly of sugar and spice. Taste is entirely lacking. Almost no taste to this beer. A little bit of bread and candi sugar, but other than that nothing. Finish is short.

Draught at Zythos Beer Festival 2008. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Strong spicy notes, nutmeg in particular, and some roasted dark chocolate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Slightly sweet initially, dry finish.

Dark reddish brown in color with a pretty decent head. Aromas have strong fruit and spiced smells. That continues into the flavors and contributes to a nice taste. Sweet finish with a pleasant amount of alcohol warmth.

Clear dark reddish brown color, medium sized tan head. Acidic, wood and red wine scent, a bit dry and sweet. Sweet and spicy, caramel taste. Sweet aftertaste. Scent and taste is very different. When I first semled I thought "this will taste like Duchesse de Bourgogne" but it sure didn’t. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Some chocolate in the back.

Dark brown color, smallish tan head. Sweet, sugar and a bit fruity scent. Big sweet and refreshing taste. Some fruits, yoghurt and a bit of smoke. Spicy and sweet aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.

dark brown beer, huge, stable beige head with spicy-creamy nose. In the taste are the candy-sugar, some chocolate, the roasted malts-like coffe taste, caramel, nuts and fruits. Carbonation is moderated, the high percentage of alcohol is unobtrusive. Nice aftertaste with roasted malt. Good, balanced and complex beer wich beer is not so expensive. Thanks Lefebvre! You can buy it in the hungarian Match.

Dark brown with good off white head. Sweet malty aroma with overripe fruits, spices and chocolate. Flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, toffee and fruits. Like a good dessert. Lovely.

I was, earlier today, tired of big hops. This has been a pleasant interlude. Not mouth heavy, which I routinely like, but floating on the palate. The star anice and orange peel have an early nice taste. This disappears as it warms. It pours a lovely brown, maintains nice lacing, and is thoroughly enjoyable.

Dense and fruity. Concentrated aroma’s of plums, dried apricot and palm sugar. Caramel, bread, and pears on the palate. Nice and heavy. Not much CO2, full-bodied;. Thick and layered!
