Bottle from Beers of Europe. Brown, yeasty Belgian ale. Sweet malt, some fruit, slightly spicy finish. Typical.

750ml from River City Cellars, Richmond. Very dark pour, somewhat unorthodox given the fruity flavors - coriander, citrus, and a hint of clove - in this one. A fairly modest mouthfeel, not quite a long enough finish and an attenuation of the flavors towards the end. Above average, but nothing spectacular.

Bottle. High fluffy but lasting light brown head. Hazy dark red body. Hoppy barley malt aroma with berries and a bit of cocoa plus a good deal of alcohol. Sweet and smouth caramel dominated berrues flavor without the expected alcohol which is well hidden by the sweetness of the beer. Low carbonation. Short sweet aftertaste.

Bottle @ YNWA. Pours a very dark brown with a small soap-bubbly beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is well spicy and lightly malty sweet and a little smokyness. Rund and full mouthfeel. Flvour has berries, a light smokyness, ginger, sweet and a light tartness at the end. Well warming. Nice brew.

Brought by Akevitt. Dark brown color with a thick head. Nice aroma of Anise, almost like a root beer. The taste is strongly sweet malt, but stops short of being cloying or syrup-like. Licorice. Very fine.

Bottle: Poured a dark black/brown with a light brown head. Aroma is a fruit and citrusy. Sweet candy caramel tasted malt with a dry finish.
