Dark brown, with a large, light brown head. Aroma malt, fruity. Medium body. Taste is sweet fruit, roasted malt, and little spicy. It had expeted a little more
power for the name Meilleure.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Sammy. Light chocolate and alcohol nose. Very dark brown with a lasting thin brown head. A bit of a dark edge to the flavour; dark chocolate and licorice. Foamy at the finish. Short abrubt finish and then a mysterious marachino aftertaste. Doesn’t go down easy, makes you pause and think about the beer. anders37 (4700), Malmö, Sweden

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2007 Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pour dark (almost black), with a large light tan head. Aroma of citrus, fruit, bready yeastiness, alcohol and spices. The flavor is smooth, spices, breadiness, fruit, and black licorice. Good body, this brew seemed to get better as it warmed up. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Pours a dark brown with a nice thick white head. I was surprised by this. I saw that it had orange peel in it and thought that maybe it was a strong witbier or something. It’s not. Aroma brings up raisins, brown sugar and licorice. Nutty, raisiny start to the taste with a hint of citrus and a nice dry finish. Ain’t nothing wrong with this one. It’s good! Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2007 Dark brown color. Perfect foam, like the best Belgian. Interesting nose. Flavor of fruits and yeast, pure and Belgian. KAggie97 (2461), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours jet black with a nice off-white head. Aroma is metallic pear. Flavor is wild berry with sweetbread, flat grape soda; alcohol nonexistent. Watery mouthfeel. Thin mouthfeel and a bizarre mix of flavors, but it’s not bad. However, one is definitely enough. Dark brown, almost black beer with a firm head. Brewed with candy sugar and spices.
A full, well balanced flavour. Some roeasted malt, some burned sugar, but there is a nice bitterenss, too. The spices? Ginger and cinnamon blend in with the sweetness. And there is a warming aftertaste. Pleasant for a nightcap with a good book. I wouldn’t mind having a few of this in my cellar.
