I read that it had a Milky way taste, and I can say that was right on. Not too bad..... hughie (3090), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Feb 21, 2006 Dark brown with a massive beige head. The aroma is a glorious, decadent chocolate-malt-liquorice feast. The taste is honeyed, smooth with a little orange sourness, sweet marzipan and almonds, and a perfectly balanced dry finish. Can beer ever be better than this? GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland

Funny head: "rose to the occasion", but then suddenly transformed into something resembling cola poured over vanilla ice cream. Initially I liked the look, but the cola/ice cream effect isn’t exactly what I want in my beer! So it ends up in between...Smells good - dominated by yeast, which reminds me of moldy carpets(?). I like carpets, but haven’t ever been licking one, but I took a sip of this beer and found out, that I like the taste of carpet as well. Nothing like the aroma though. Sweet licorice, candy and a nice bitterness. I didn’t expect too much of this beer, but it was a pleasant surprise. beeranarchist (185), Aalborg, Denmark
