| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Pours a very dark amber to brown color with a small, creamy white head that lasts. Aroma is quite alcoholic, but with sugary, fruity sweetness. There is also a hint of baked bread. Flavor also has an alcohol dominance, and is slightly sweet all throughout. Quite strong, but nothing that really gets me excited. stobbe74 (714), Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is licorice, staranis and sweetness. The flavor follows the nose closely. The palate is sweet. Overall it tastes a little like cough syrup. joechristenson (31), Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Subtle aroma - got some apricot, orangle peel, but less of the spices - the anis promised by the bottle was virtually undetectable (to me, anyway). Fine looking beer, had a nice burnt orange translucence to it. Tastes of toffee and orange fruits, more mellow and subtle than I expected. Certainly quaffable. Definite yeast, the orange peel and coriander come through more as it warms. Not bad. tennessejed420 (100), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2009 750 ml. bottle. Aged one year past best before date. Aroma of dark fruit, apricot, spices, nuts, yeast. The age of the beer has clearly brought out some winey / fruityness. Palatte is yeasty. Taste is fruity with an earthiness to it and spices noticeable. Didn’t realize this was a little old until I got back home with it, but it has not changed the beer for the worse. wekker84 (67), etten-leur, Netherlands
