durhambeer (411), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jun 23, 2008 Bottle labeled "Blanche de Bruxelles." Bright very pale golden pour with medium white head that quickly diminishes to a millimeter layer. Fresh lemons and orange zest as well as wheat and yeast on the nose as well as coriander. Not a super complex aroma. On the tongue, it’s more of the same, but quite thin both in taste and palate. Ends watery and a little sweet rather than slightly sour and crisp. Not bad, but nothing much to this one.
hop_lover (139), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Sep 5, 2008 Not much spice to this one. I can tell it’s a wit, but nothing that will have me coming back. Hazed yellow with a decent white head. Strong sweet lemon nose, a hint of coriander and a shadow of the wheat below. Weak, watery body. Lemon and dry wheat, finish is non-existent. Nice lace, but ultimately not a very good beer. Edgekrusher (45), , Alabama, USA Aug 20, 2008 Mildly tart, citrusy nose with contrasting aromas of sweet bread and ripe bananas. That same citrusy tartness hits the palate first with mild acidity, but is soon equaled and then pushed aside by the sweet, banana pudding flavor and background breadiness
