Commercial Description:
Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

On tap with happy hour special! Pours dark copperish color with good lacing. Yeasty aroma. Very smooth beer with backbone, medium-heavy carbonation and a nice savory aftertaste.

This is a pretty tasty Belgian blond. The flavor and aroma are light, yet yeasty, almost banana/aplle like notes can be detected. The mouthfeel is a little on the syrupy side for my taste, but if it is served well chilled, this can be avoided. This is a great beach brew, and I’ve found it does better with a few days of cold storage before being drunk.

Aroma was sweet citrus, color was a nice dark golden in appearance. Flavor was vanilla covered fruit with hints of floral flavor. Felt smooth and sugary in the mouth, easy to drink.

Golden amber color w/ a large slowly diminishing head. Aroma is attractive and slightly citrusy. Palate is thin, sugary, and quickly disappearing; aftertaste is very subtle. Above average carbonation leads to a acidic feeling. Very drinkable due to thin palate, but finishing this beer makes me want something more. This beer is maybe something good to drink w/ food or to start out with, but it definitely does not go where all of the places a good beer should go.

On tap, Newcastle area. On tap this is a much better beer than it’s bottled equivalent. The bottled version has a strong, dislikable metallic flavour. On tap it is more of the standard belgian hops and bitter flavour with a hint of the bottled metallic notes. Better, but not great compared to ’real’ belgian beer.
