Commercial Description:
Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

11.2oz bottle. Honey golden color, filtered. Deliciously sweet and creamy, with nice yeast character. Lovely honey-floral aroma. Light candi sugar flavors come through. Moderate alcohol isn’t overwhelming but certainly makes itself known. A great standard Belgian beer.

Sweet floral aroma. Golden color with great head initially that fades quickly. Malty intro that transitions smoothly with light carbonation into a clover honey aftertaste. The alcohol reveals itself early on but is not a detriment. My wife actually likes this beer and I do too. Now, if I can only find the Brune version...

Bottle in namesake chalice: Golden-amber under a nice head; nice lacing. Fruity aroma with good strong hops...some almonds. Tastes slightly bitter with well-rounded alcoholic feel. Malty with traces of sour-apple. Flavourfully warming on the palate...what abbey ale is a ll about.

I had this beer poured into a trappist glass in Brussels. It had a clear, darker gold color with a medium-sized, foamy white head that featured average to good retention. The aroma was sweet grapes and some malt, with a bit of citrus hops. It tasted more sour than I expected, but still had some sweetness too, and just a touch of bitterness. A wet, fuller body with tingly, ample carbonation. A very solid beer.

Nutty, doughy, and banana nose. Rich gold in color, crystal clear. Great complexity and balance, very enjoyable. A Belgian session beer.

Great Belgian from a nice Abbey. Pours a beautiful golden color, nice head formation from a bottle. Good aroma and a wonderful mouth-feel. All the good things about a Belgian in a nice blond beer.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Abbey. Beautiful presentation on the bottle, even a more beautiful taste. Pours golden blonde, but I did get a dissapointing head. Flavor notes: slightly fruity, barley, light overtones of sweetness. Overall a great choice!

Pours a warm yellow golden clear wit ha healthy white head. The nose is sweet with malt and fruity esters. Reminds me of a wheat beer, though none of that wheaty graininess. A little straw/hint of grass. the mouthfeel is surprisingly full and smooth with a bit of slickness to it. The flavors are sweet with a little bit of a spicy Belgian kick of fruitiness to it. There’s a small amount of that straw sort of hops. A lingering strawberry. very light sweetness up front, almost like bubblegum, dries out very quickly into a lingering toasty strawberry by the end. The sweetness reminds me of Stella. The lack of extreme complexity reminds me of Stella. But in the end, I think this is a bit better a beer, and one I think I might put in that class along with Sam Adams and SNPA.
