Commercial Description:
Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Bottle 330ml tulip glass, recently Leffe trappist glass. Overall a very drinkable beer, the banana/clove/sweet yeasty/biscuit/caramel aroma is heavenly, the taste very agreeable. Cunningly the length of after-taste is relatively short leaving me wanting more.

Picked up at the local corner store. I had to check out the expiration date because sometimes the corner store sells out of date beer. Anyways, fluffy head faded away rather quickly, but a spotty thin layer of head still exists...somewhat. A transparent coppery/gold color; looks pretty good if you ask me. I must say the color is very nice. Big yeast and fruit aroma! Very pungent brew I must say. Nice sugary sweet aroma as well. I don’t see what the bad rating for; maybe it is all in the flavor. A weird overly carbonated body. The yeast/sugar/fruit flavor is all there. the flavor is actually quite nice, but there is this biting carbonation that takes away from this being a great beer. The flavor fades out rather quickly. This beer has a lot going for it. I just wish that the flavor would linger a bit more, and the carbonation would be toned down a bit; do that and this is a 4+ easy.

I have had this many times... one of the definitive Belgian blond ales... delicious! Big fruity esters, complex!

330 ML bottle at the French Embassy in Pakistan. Don’t ask. Clear light copper body, with virtually no head. The aroma is sweet, yeasty, and slightly spicy. The flavor is fruity and yeasty, with a bit of alcohol present. It’s smooth, but stays nicely on the tongue. Mild aftertaste.

Bottle. Amber beer with a whitish head. Yeast, malt, and light spice aroma. yeast, malt, and spice flavor with light fruity esters. Medium bodied. Spice, yeast, and light malt linger.

12 oz bottle Pours a light gold with a billowing whitehead that recedes fairly quickly. Laces very slightly. Nose is most prominently clove and sweet fruit; bananas and citrus. Flavor repeats the clove sensation, with a very slight alcohol and a light bread flavor (yeast-like, not "chewy") on the back of the pallet. Sweetness resonates on the pallet, and there is an almost oily sensation that remains after swallowing. Not bad, and a pretty decent mass produced abbey.

Pours gold with a small white head that disappears. Aroma of clove, vanilla and bananas. Fruity and malty flavor with no noticeable hops. Clean, slightly malty finish. Great summer ale.
