Overall a very drinkable beer, the banana/clove/sweet yeasty/biscuit/caramel aroma is heavenly, the taste very agreeable. Cunningly the length of after-taste is relatively short leaving me wanting more.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Aug 25, 2009 Picked up at the local corner store. I had to check out the expiration date because sometimes the corner store sells out of date beer. Anyways, fluffy head faded away rather quickly, but a spotty thin layer of head still exists...somewhat. A transparent coppery/gold color; looks pretty good if you ask me. I must say the color is very nice. Big yeast and fruit aroma! Very pungent brew I must say. Nice sugary sweet aroma as well. I don’t see what the bad rating for; maybe it is all in the flavor. A weird overly carbonated body. The yeast/sugar/fruit flavor is all there. the flavor is actually quite nice, but there is this biting carbonation that takes away from this being a great beer. The flavor fades out rather quickly. This beer has a lot going for it. I just wish that the flavor would linger a bit more, and the carbonation would be toned down a bit; do that and this is a 4+ easy. drowland (1418), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Clear light copper body, with virtually no head. The aroma is sweet, yeasty, and slightly spicy. The flavor is fruity and yeasty, with a bit of alcohol present. It’s smooth, but stays nicely on the tongue. Mild aftertaste.

Pours a light gold with a billowing whitehead that recedes fairly quickly. Laces very slightly.
Nose is most prominently clove and sweet fruit; bananas and citrus.
Flavor repeats the clove sensation, with a very slight alcohol and a light bread flavor (yeast-like, not "chewy") on the back of the pallet.
Sweetness resonates on the pallet, and there is an almost oily sensation that remains after swallowing.
Not bad, and a pretty decent mass produced abbey. molassesfan (201), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
