emacgee (1305), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jan 7, 2009 Pours a translucent golden brew with a two finger frothy white head. The nose shows some sweetness, lots of yeast influence, spices, fruit, honey, earthy/funky Belgian feel. The flavor is warming, spicy, honey, mildly sweet, yeasty, Belgian/earthy. Palate is warm and crisply carbonated. Tasty. checkmatei1 (316), Willow Grove, USA Jan 5, 2009 Bottle: Poured a golden yellow with a thick white head. The aroma was yeasty, citrus, and clove. The flavor was a tad weak, with grass, coriander, and cloves present. Overall, not bad...but not great. djd07 (414), Houston, Texas, USA Jan 5, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear golden with a small white head that diminshes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a floral hop with clove. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a dry citrus with banana and clove and a dry finish. A decent belgian from InBev. zvikar (68), Tel-Aviv, Israel Jan 4, 2009 Pours a light brown liquid with medium head, delicate fruit and vanilla aroma, malt with banana yeasty flavors, some citrus and coriander as well. A bit alcoholic bitter sweet aftertaste. OzarkElmo (15), , Missouri, USA Jan 1, 2009 Updated: Jan 2, 2009Poured into shaker from bottle. Excellent experience. More pleasant, tasty, flavorful than the Duvel I had moments earlier. Golden color, white head, hints of malt, citrus. Not too bitter, Smooth, enjoyable, worth the effort and would buy again. Have to say I disagree with other recent reviews. Duvel was not even close in any category. Cheers!
