The taste reminds me of the days when beer was meant to sustain, to ward off hunger. If tastes of wonderfully-crafted bread. The aftertaste is rich & sweet, and precious fumes of alcohol taunt my sinuses in the most pleasurable way.
It was in a search for more information on this beer, which is still very difficult to find in Northern California, that prompted me to first visit and join ratebeer.com. I first "discovered" this beer in Paris, where it served as nightcap and anesthetic for a horrible case of poison oak smuggled onto our French vacation.
Call me a cad, call me an un-sophisticate, I care not, just please call me an Interbrew disti to get Leffe into the stores! (This is a legit rating...I wouldn't give it a perfect rating if it weren't my all-time fave) ipogios (1), Cyprus does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | May 26, 2003 Pours a beautifull deep golden colour topped by a huge white creamy head. This beer has a sweet aroma and sweet taste. Aftertaste is sweet and it's quite long lasting. It's one my 2 favourite beers (the other is BITburger) but i hate the fact that i don't get to drink it much since only a couple of pubs offer this beer in my area

Remember that flavor. That is the flavor that Belgium yeast imparts to beer. I liked to eat that paste. Even though I have compared this beer to paste I will still give it a 5 rating. This beer is phenomenal. It’s like a cross between a heavyweight fighter and a ballet dancer. Strong in color and body yet so refined and delicate. Ask yourself what’s wrong with this beer and the answer you’ll come up with is. Nothing!! At our recent summer beer tasting Leffe Blond was a real hit. The color in the glass is magical but the real threat is the aroma and palate combined with a killer finish. How do Belgium brewers make beer that looks "still" but when you taste it, it is like champagne! The may well be one of the world’s best beers (like Pilsner Urquell on tap AT the brewery!). Go get some. iambeer (255), Ontario, Canada

Very clean, crisp with a mellow buzz. Belguim, great for Leffe and Bouviers. Love’em both. nycbronchart (6), San Diego, California, USA does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jul 6, 2005 caramel, vanilla, golden, sparkling, heavy cloying sweetness, medium body, sticky, lively, long finish, 01jimmen (6), umea, Sweden does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jan 23, 2007 OH YES!!!This is how beer should taste like!It is the perfect balance between fruityness and spicyness! The bottle, the colour, you can feel the wingstrokes of history when you drink it!I have found the holy grail! | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Aug 14, 2001 Again, my opinion is in stark contrast to that of the collective here. I loved everything about this beer, from its white, frothy, persistent head (yes, it lasted through the whole glass) and deep golden color to its malty and mellow taste. Some have knocked this beer because of its softness, a quality that I find to be an extremely fresh breath of air in the belgian ale world. Its perfect level of carbonation adds a smoothness that makes this an extremely delicious, refreshing, flavorful, yet refined, drink. How often does one hear a Belgian described as refreshing?
