gam (1059), brisbane, Australia Feb 3, 2008 Good head, carbon is strong enough, colour red brown.Aroma malted flavours plus sweet grain, spice, caramel very easy tasting beer, mellow finish. armando629 (952), Budapest, Hungary Jan 26, 2008 Good and strong one. Delisicious appearance with a nice amber color and the creamy and foamy head. The aroma is complex,&spicy with fruits, honey and nuts. The flavour is sweet malt and spices with some banana. Nice aftertaste. TrefwoordPunk (549), Leiden, Netherlands Jan 20, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a big creamy head and a sweet smell of ripe fruits (citrus and peach) and syrup. The flavor is like a heavily sweet triple, ripe fruits, mainly citrus, coriander and yeast. But there are some non-tripley, like toffee, biscuits and coffee with sugar and cream. The finish is bitter, like roasted grains. Good kappldav123 (1788), Markkleeberg, Germany Jan 16, 2008 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Very creamy foam. Flavor is not so good, very much like medicine. The finish somehow chemical. Not so good. KimJohansen (6645), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jan 14, 2008 Red with medium head. Sweet fruity aroma with a spicy touch. Flavor has sweet malt, yeast, fruits and caramel. Laegraid (37), Oslo, Norway Jan 13, 2008 Notes of perfume and "yeast". Its a nice complex beer, but with a overpowering yeasty feel to it. apc (9), Australia does not count Jan 13, 2008 Grain/molasses/toffee aroma. Large, creamy, off-white head. Burnt toffee appearance. Lightly sweet/salty flavour. medium to full syrupy palate. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA Jan 12, 2008 Pours a rich amber with a thin lasting head that laces throughout the drink. The aroma is yeast, dried apricots, aged apples, with hints of raisins and currants. The taste is primarily bread and malt. The taste is a little flat compared to the aroma, and there is a ripe banana flavor that seems slightly out of balance. Finishes with a slight metallic feel. Not nearly as flavorful as other Trippels / Belgian Strong ales. But the only disappointment here is the slightly metallic finish.
