From bottle at Brussels Airport. Clear copper with a medium off-white head. Freash bready malt aroma. Rather sweet with bitternessonly kicking in to a modest extent. Modest rye bread flavours. Not the sexiest beer around, but one of the better Leffes.

Mahogany, nice head and lace. The aroma has notes of coriander and the mouthfeel is smooth. The flavour is sweetish but nicely balanced by spices. It’s rather complex and the finish has a nice citrussy bitterness.

Not as good as the Brune or Blonde. Nice but quickly disappearing head. Beautiful red copper colour but overly sweet and cloying.

Bottle, november 07. Clear, copper color with a thick, dense white head. Fruity, grainy flavor with some phenollic traces and an alcoholic burnt. Rather artificial and with some oxidation notes. Medium to full mouthfeel, rather syrupy and dull. Fruity aroma with some plums. Rather dull strong ale.

Strongly flavoured beer, a hint of cloves to it. Despite the high alcohol content I find it more drinkable than blond. Lovely stuff...

This is a splendid foreign beer. Not too heavy, a touch sweet. Some bitterness. Very pleasurable to drink. What we might call a barley wine. I simply cannot fault this drink. Cheerio!

Amber color, with a small beige head, with a yeasty, fruity nose, with a subtle wet oaky cherryish note, with some dried dark fruits, with some toast malts and spices, hint of candi sugar in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, malty, fruity character, with a toasty, caramelized malts, with a faint chocolatey note, with some oaky cherryish and fruity raisiny flavors, with an accent of nutmeg and coriander spiciness, in a warmth mouthfeel, leading towards a warm, malty, cherry-like liquor, hop bitterness finish.
