sssamcz (6), Berkhamsted, England does not count Nov 23, 2007 Strongly flavoured beer, a hint of cloves to it. Despite the high alcohol content I find it more drinkable than blond. Lovely stuff... LordCrabapple (83), Merseyside, England Nov 17, 2007 This is a splendid foreign beer. Not too heavy, a touch sweet. Some bitterness. Very pleasurable to drink. What we might call a barley wine. I simply cannot fault this drink. Cheerio! rederic (1785), montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 2, 2007 Amber color, with a small beige head, with a yeasty, fruity nose, with a subtle wet oaky cherryish note, with some dried dark fruits, with some toast malts and spices, hint of candi sugar in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, malty, fruity character, with a toasty, caramelized malts, with a faint chocolatey note, with some oaky cherryish and fruity raisiny flavors, with an accent of nutmeg and coriander spiciness, in a warmth mouthfeel, leading towards a warm, malty, cherry-like liquor, hop bitterness finish. petermadsen (391), Vesterbronxxx, Denmark Oct 29, 2007 Yeasty aroma, dirty amber and a fading head leaving laces. The flavour is spicy with notes of pepper, coriander and alcohol. Not fabulous, but oddly drinkable... Pours clear deep amber with a thick creamy light off-white head. Deep malty aroma and a lot of dried fruits. A minor spiced note too. Sweet caramel malty flavour with a lot of cane sugar. Nice balance giving a soft experience from start to finish. Finish is slight warming to burning. Nice by all measures. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Oct 3, 2007 Bottle. Clear amber colour with large frothy white mostly lasting head. Fruity aroma. Sweet Spicy flavor.
