OK, good, little sweet. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Jun 3, 2007 deep brown/ruby, light fruity malt, rich malt and slightly sour raisins. alchohol shows too much with a little tart fruit. cab (861), Denmark May 29, 2007 Bottle.33cl. This is not the best leffe, but never the less it is a good beer, from a big brew-house. DruncanVeasey (2692), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England May 27, 2007 Updated: May 28, 2007Bottled, Inspire, Coventry. Spritzy red pour blanketed with Gilette. Sweet, cakily malty nose. Opens with a lick of copper penny but develops some cardboard and alcohol. Kind of a turbocharged Belgian John Smith’s. Horribly thin, tinny and papery on top a Tripel Karmeliet. lightweight and characterless for the ABV. But have drank it before and enjoyed it. On this showing, very disappointing.
