rauchbier (2992), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Feb 14, 2007 Bottle. Chestnut red, good off white head and moderate condition. Malty sweet with some caramel and a vague sense of mushroom funkiness in the nose, sweet buttery malt and peppery hop bitterness in the mouth with some chocolate and fig notes, gentle bitterness in the finish with some lingering sweet chocolate.

TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Jan 22, 2007 Bottle, a deep brown colour with just a bit of carbonation and think bubbly beige head. A fruity caramal aroma. Very sweet, which is countered a little further in the swallow by some carbonation and acidic sourness. Syrupy toffee flavours, with a strong woody alcoholic touch, akin to whiskey. Could have got a higher rating, but I just can’t get past that acidity. HarryFlashman (469), Chatham, Kent, England Jan 12, 2007 A potent little number. A dark ruby colour - sweet and fruity in taste. Quite thin, but very palatable. Yes, I like it! bask (305), Leuven, Belgium Jan 4, 2007 Dark body with a reddish hue. Sweet aroma with malts, berries. Sweet flavour, with licquor, spices, light sugar, autumn fruits. tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark Dec 25, 2006 Updated: Aug 22, 2007Rødlig øl.
Duft af kryderier, varme og belgisk gær.
Smag: Meget krydret og let bitter. Sødlig og varm som en kloster. Men ikke så kraftig.
Sprittet eftersmag.
andywandy (18), England Dec 24, 2006 Drank from a bottle at home. It is quite rich and can be quite bitter at the end, but there are a lot of fruity tast that will fill the mouth. It is on par with leffe bruin.
