Rating 609 Bottle from Pitfield Beer Shop, London. 330ml. Served in a Leffe glass. Rich red colour, clear (not bottle conditioned), fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity, smoky and perhaps yeasty (reminds me of Delerium Tremens). Creamy & malty. Smoke, pepper, spice with fruit a perhaps a slight wheat character?. Tasty.

33 cl bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV was 8.2%. Large thick head, clear reddish brown colour. Surprisingly weak aroma, but what there is, is pleasant: Ripe and dried fruits, just a faint hint of barnyard. Flavour has malts and spices and a great deal of alcoholic warmth.

bottled brussels: pours brown amber with tan bubbly head. more effervesence then others in this class. nose very sweet some alcohol notes. mouth feels bubbly and sweet malt toffee. the other leffes ive had were much more enjoyable. stick with what you know dammit.

Nice fruity beer with good oak brown looks and colourful aroma. I think I like the dubbel slightly better.

More aroma, but a lot less taste than the Vieille Cuvée. Wouldn’t think I’d ever say this about a Leffe, but it’s actually a bit boring. Too sweet and a bit too fizzy.

14 June 2004 - Galour fruit aroma, nice complexity and slight alcoholic hint. Low suds, clear red brown colour low head. Complex hop, medium hopping finish, with lingering dryness. Slight fizzy sweet aftertaste.
