mkel07 (494), Brisbane, Australia Feb 19, 2009 330ml bottle. Poured with a large foamy off white head, ruby copper in colour. Aroma of mouthwash, tasted a bit like mouthwash at the start but once I drank some more it started to taste better. Strong bitter aftertaste. Dervock (178), Emu plains, Australia Jan 20, 2009 The beer looked great from the pour and had a beautiful fruity aroma.
The first taste was again of sweet fruityness but the aftertaste was quite harsh, it mellowed as a drank a bit more but still wasn’t great. sdriessen (203), Dunedin, New Zealand Jan 19, 2009 Sweet, apple-like aroma with some malt.
Quite basic, and quite boring. More bitterness than the other Leffe’s I’ve tried, which is nice. Some berry fruits, like raspberry of strawberry.
Sweet and boring, but nice enough to drink! zvikar (413), Tel-Aviv, Israel Dec 29, 2008 Huge beige head on top of a red liquid, complex fruity aroma, flavor of sweet delicate fruits like peach and cherry, fine beverage. Straling (185), Heerlen, Netherlands Dec 25, 2008 Bottle 33cl.
Pours a clear ruby colour with a small size head and good carbonation.
Smell is very fruity, sweet fruits like cherries and raspberrys there, like a mix of kriek and framboise.
Taste is very fresh and clear, has the raspberrys there too, but no cherries.
Goes down with a nice bit of warmth. Russo (595), Campinas, Brazil Dec 25, 2008 Bottled. Nice red dark color with a persistent beige head. Aroma is fruity with notes of malt, flavor is spicy notes of red fruits. Mouthfeel is long and amazing, some spice and bitterness.
