a sim rate: The aroma is everything with this beer, and its perfumey scent makes each sip taste very sugary and sweet. A great, almost fruity, aftertaste. In my opnion, it’s the best Leffe beer!

(Bottle, BB 09/03/08) Pours a burgundy body with a spare beige head. Aroma of raisins, vinous, caramel, and biscuit. Flavor of dark fruit, caramel, and light tobacco with a dry finish.

33cl bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis (thanks!). Bottle labeled best before 11/03/07. Poured a medium and clear reddish/copper color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of dark cherries, raspberries, light yeast, and caramel. Tastes has the same dark cherry and raspberry quality to it with other fruits. Light alcohol finish. Medium sweet with a light tartness to it.

Ruby brown hue with a thin off-white head, well-laced though. Aroma is very very yeasty, but of very restrained depth, sadly so. There's some kind of fruitiness in there that is hard to put words on, but I'd throw oranges and peaches. Mostly dry yeast still and it continues in mouth where it gets slightly more interesting but no big winner. The palate is peppery, fruity, dry with light notes of dust, perhaps a bit too old. Body is almost flat, thin-medium and appears unappropriate.

clear red-amber colour, creamy head and a nice lacing, caramel and grassy aroma, vegetal, slightly toasted, a touch of licorice, full-bodied, dry and bitter finish with reminiscence of fruits and malt
