beautyfull chestnut-like color
smells spicy,darkly malty,some bergamot smell
good carbonation
malty,bitter-sweet taste,bergamot taste,even something meat-extract-like is there,hops,some dried bananas
aftertaste first,malty,bitter-sweet but then fruity too, some alcohol
seems less alcoholic than it is.
the maltyness is a hiddeng a bit the fruity flavours, but by longer tasting they are there,so don’t drink that beer too fast

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours red/orange, off white head. I do like the colour. Aroma is sweet, like sugary plums. Flavour has berries and plum, which fade to some hop bitterness. A good balance in the flavour. Finish is bitter and dry. Nicely made ale, alcohol doesn’t show at all. ha1ag (423), Maastricht, Netherlands
