Aromas of whraty banana and cloves with dried herbs (rosemary) and spicy overtones. Some crystal sweetness. Smells thick and warm. Caramel and heady spices combine for a warming and complex experience in the mouth. Again the dried herbs emerge, filled out by a mid-palate sweetness. Nice. tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark

Duft af kryderier, varme og belgisk gær.
Smag: Meget krydret og let bitter. Sødlig og varm som en kloster. Men ikke så kraftig.
Sprittet eftersmag.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2007 Bottled at Sicosis Pours a beautiful, clear dark ruby/brown color. Head is medium, white and creamy. It leaves a gorgeous lacing.
Aroma is strong with a malty/yeasty character with lots of fruity smells. There are notes of berries, chestnuts, peanut butter, plums and a lot of caramel. Well balanced and interesting.
Flavor is bittersweet, fantastic, nutty and caramelly hints and some light herbal, grassy touches complemented by a nice alcoholic kick. Not extreme but very classy.
Body is medium with an oily texture. Carbonation is low which leaves space for the flavors to shine. Nice, mildly alcoholic finish. The best Leffe i’ve tasted. Fred82 (401), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Extremly bitter at first, but as the beer warms up, sweet flavours of caramel and stewed fruits appear. The finish is sour, short and not too appealing. Brix (373), Denmark
