Has nice lacing as well. Smells softly like beer and some vague hints at fruit, some maltiness in there as well. Taste is a mix of malts, grains, and fruity notes. Has a crisp dry finish. A nice ale, not too complex, good for sipping. The Etruscan (307), Tuscany, Italy

Aroma is malty with caramel, dried fruity and nutty notes. Flavor is malty and fruity too with an appearing spicy and slightly alchoolic undertone, ending in abalanced moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium

It poured an amber color with a big creamy white head that settles slowly in the glass. The aroma smells of fruits and malts. It has a bitter-sweet flavour and tastes of malts, fruits. It has a medium long aftertaste. floydian1 (290), FNQ, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Hazy dark red-brown ale with 2 fingers of off white head. Yeasty nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Sweet fruity palate with a warming mocha-like finish. Smooth and full bodied. Hides its alcoholic strength well. Unusual but I like it. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 5, 2005 Updated: Jan 31, 2006This pours a dark amber to cherry color with a large, off-white head and a lot of carbonation manifested in oversized bubbles. The nose is standard strong Belgian fare - the alcohol is fairly prevalent, and there are hints of grain and saltiness - but his beer has a bit of a fruity hint in the nose also. The taste consistes mostly of a strong punch of alcohol upfront, but it is followed mostly by grains and slight hints of caramel and fruit In fact, the absence of fruit in the palate is more surprising than any presence that I could find Overall, this is a fine brew, but it is certainly nothing to rave about. bkurtz (276), Peru
