Smell is sweet cherries, dark fruits, cinnamon, caramel, spicy.
Dry flavor.
Taste: Cherries, a hint of chocolate, floral, spicies and a bitter touch. Fruits, caramel.
A good one, though I think something is missing, not sure what. BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal

Very cheap in a sixpack. My second favorite from Leffe caused by the notes of bitterness, melonfruit, complexbodied, nutflavor, lots of ingredients and a great finish AndrewGeoff (27), Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 18, 2005 Reddish-amber in colour with a beige head which although small lasts quite well. Aroma of hops, spice and caramel. Slightly dry but well balanced with a spicy bite at the front of the tongue. Flavour of hops, cinnamon, dry apple cider balanced by enough malty sweetness without being cloying. A nice beer to hold in the mouth and note the changes on the way down. Glad to be back with the style I like after Orval & Rodenbach Grand Cru. highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia

Poured a bottle-brown colour with a short but lasting head. The nose is heavily alcoholic but with plenty of fruit and a hint of toast! Full-bodied and almost port-like in intensity. Ripe cherries and spices on the tongue, with hints of whisky and then a rummy bitter finish. Complex and satisfying. This has more body than the Vieille Cuvee. The aroma promises well, with fruitful cherry-notes and some oakyness. This is dark brown, with a small white head. I’m drinking this from a real La Trappe (champagne-shaped) glass, and the foam looks intriguing, like a swamp actually. The first sip is good with its fizzyness. The alcohol warms in a good way. More woody flavours and less fruit. Long, full finish. My kind o’ play thingie. EHSRanders (1120), Randers C, Denmark
