| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 14, 2009 330 mL bottle. Very, very nice colour - copper, which almost looks purple in a certain light. Can’t give it a 5 though, ’cause the head disappeared quite rapidly. Aroma is mild and on the sweet side, with fruit, tea, and a bit of spice. Flavour is good: spice, honey, caramel, and some fruit and anise near the end. Decent bitterness in the finish, some of which may be from the alcohol. Not as full as it could be. Not bad. reakt (937), Greater London, England

This bottle’s from Sainsbury’s. Deep amber with a small off white head. Alcohol is apparent in the nose along with hints of banana, toffee and apples. Spicy taste to match with a salty, bitter edge. Medium bodied and a little flat. Probably my favorite Leffe to date but still a few to go... carruthm (1170), Seattle, Washington, USA
