Surprisingly weak aroma, but what there is, is pleasant: Ripe and dried fruits, just a faint hint of barnyard. Flavour has malts and spices and a great deal of alcoholic warmth. johndoughty (2170), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

A good drink especially in the winter.. SilkTork (4192), Rochester, Kent, England

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2002 Medium-thick off-white to light-brown foam over a limpid reddish-brown brew.
Not very apparent aroma at first, widening to a malty and fruity herbaceous nose of no great distinction.
Medium-bodied and rather sweet malty flavor, with some bitters in the end.
The beer is of medium-intensity, the ending slightly bitter, and overall this is yet another medium-quality commercial beer, nay, Belgian Ale...and NOT up to Trappist quality by a long shot... YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

Red-orange color, little head leaving brussels laces, soft carbonation. Framboise taste, grapes that makes it bitter at the end. Also some malty tones tasteable. Fullmouth, pricks a little bit. Wonderful on this place after the Rue Mouffetard market in the warm sun. Nate (2573), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Nutty bitter dry after. Some musty grass components.
