May 15, 2006 Bottle, 33cl. Beautiful red beer with a nice white head. Aroma isn’t strong, but it has some fruits and a strong yeastiness. Flavour is quite good, malty and fruity. Alcohol is somewhat apparent, but not overwhelming. Pronounced bitterness in the finish. Probably the best of the Leffe family.

Smells caramel, malty, fruity, berries, yeast and wellbalanced.
It tastes smooth and rich.
Not as sweet and malty as I would have preferred it.

Jul 30, 2005 Updated: Apr 27, 2006A red-brown clear liquid, with a fairly large head that dwindled away to a thin layer and left a small amount of lacing. Smatterings of nuts, pears, and smoky sherry. Slightly bitter aftertaste, although a bit weak on the palate for what is otherwise a complex beer.
