The aroma is everything with this beer, and its perfumey scent makes each sip taste very sugary and sweet. A great, almost fruity, aftertaste. In my opnion, it’s the best Leffe beer!

Oct 19, 2008 Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a darkish red/brown. Aromas of spice, coriander, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor has an alcohol taste to it, mixed with a nice smokey dark fruit. Also has strong hints of spice and orange.

May 6, 2007 Bottle. Brownish-yellow colour with a short lasting bubbling off-white head. Sweet fruity-sour aroma. Sweet and fruity flavour with some bitterness to it. Good mouthfeel! Good warming and fruity brew.

Mar 8, 2008 Bottle, 26th Feb 2008. Reddish amber with an aroma of red berries and raspberries. Treacly and sticky in the mouth with a nutty malt flavour. Decent stuff.

Apr 16, 2008 Copper red colour, tan head. Aroma has some sweet, red fruits. Flavour has some caramel malts. Alcohol well noticable. Average.

Feb 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours red/orange, off white head. I do like the colour. Aroma is sweet, like sugary plums. Flavour has berries and plum, which fade to some hop bitterness. A good balance in the flavour. Finish is bitter and dry. Nicely made ale, alcohol doesn’t show at all.

Oct 3, 2009 bottle from my girlfriend. Good beer with the typical Leffe taste. The red ale smells good with hints of sweet fruits. Good sweet, bitter taste. Enjoyed it

Mar 9, 2009 33cl bottle at L’Autre Oeil. Amber with a medium head. Aroma is prunes and dry fruits. Taste is like aroma with notes of cherries. Very nice beer. Rating #59
