Bottle at cellar temperature. Poured a clear copper color with nice carbonation driving a small tan head. Flavor had earthy tones...dust? dry palate? A little alcohol, a little bitterness. nice but nothing amazing.

Drank from a bottle at home. It is quite rich and can be quite bitter at the end, but there are a lot of fruity tast that will fill the mouth. It is on par with leffe bruin.

Hazy dark red-brown ale with 2 fingers of off white head. Yeasty nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Sweet fruity palate with a warming mocha-like finish. Smooth and full bodied. Hides its alcoholic strength well. Unusual but I like it.

330ml bottle, trappist glass, from de Bier Haus Tauranga. Red brown amber hue, light beige bubbly head quickly diminishing to a ring around the top, with minimal lacing. Complex mixture of sweet fruitiness - cherry, plum, banana, citrus, caramel, and spiciness - coriander and cloves. Kept smelling cheese - new to me for a beer aroma. Sweet fruity malty with bitter sweet finish, medium bodied, oily texture like a thin syrup. Enjoyed this more the first time I had it but still a good one though preferred the Leffe Blond.

Dark red beer with a thick rocky off-white head. Aroma of nice malts, spices and dried fruit and alcohol. Flavour is caramel, citrusy and some spiciness. The alcohol is hidden well. Nice finish with a bitterness that lingers.

Very attractive burgundy colour with a medium head. Underwhelmingly weak fruity malty aroma. The flavour is malty, with caramel and spiciness and alcohol. Sounds more interesting than it is though, just a little too weak in its flavour I found.
