nice, surprisingly refreshing, finish is mouth-watering, alcohol is well disguised.

Nov 22, 2009 Deep ruby/amber pour with a large billowing and frothy off white cap. Lots of nice lace is left on the glass, and the head retention is great. Immediate nose of banana and bubblegum, some perfume, with toast and dark bread and spices. Tastes great. Of banana and tropical fruit, plum, spicy with good concentration of toasty notes. Overall very malty, sweet-ish, with a good zip of citric hops right at the finish. Creamy finish, balanced, very good.

Mar 3, 2005 Very nice beer indeed! Dark brown, deep red coloured. Fruity taste, with the taste of different herbs and a smooth bitterness. Complex and very tasty!

Oct 16, 2005 33 cl bottle. No yeast in bottom. Dark amber colour with a rocky white head. Nice complex aroma of wheat and dried fruit. Great complex and spicy flavour. The alcohol is well hidden. Definately the best Leffe.

Apr 21, 2009 Updated: Apr 22, 200933cl Bottle. Nice reddish brown color with a thick off-white head.Malty beer with strong fruity and spicy aromas and flavor. Well balanced and enjoyable. My favorite Leffe so far.

May 6, 2007 Bottled at Sicosis Pours a beautiful, clear dark ruby/brown color. Head is medium, white and creamy. It leaves a gorgeous lacing.
Aroma is strong with a malty/yeasty character with lots of fruity smells. There are notes of berries, chestnuts, peanut butter, plums and a lot of caramel. Well balanced and interesting.
Flavor is bittersweet, fantastic, nutty and caramelly hints and some light herbal, grassy touches complemented by a nice alcoholic kick. Not extreme but very classy.
Body is medium with an oily texture. Carbonation is low which leaves space for the flavors to shine. Nice, mildly alcoholic finish. The best Leffe i’ve tasted.

Oct 10, 2009 Appearance: Moderately transparent brown.
Aroma: Fragrant candy sugar, grilled tomato & celery, coriander, orange, roasted sweet caramel and honey.
Flavor: Charred grain, roasted/burnt caramel, "dried" orange malt (ie not fresh or juicy), spice/coriander, burnt caramel. Finishes with a sustained sweetness balanced by burnt caramel, orange malt and spice that eventually ends with bitter grapefruit rind.
Comment: Moderately complex. A nice relief from cheap adjunct filled Japanese lagers.
