Unholy_Brewing (290), Melbourne, Australia Apr 24, 2008 ...on tap in Melbourne. Great, complex beer, with a nice head, and great aroma. Looks good in the glass too. No alcohol present in the finish, which is always good. Worth trying. andrewboss (126), USA Apr 16, 2008 Draft... had it in a pub in Italy. Having tried only the Blond variety before )and loved it), I decided to give it a try. It ended up being a pleasant experience. A very good beer all around. Has some bitter qualities that sets apart from many other beers of its kind. GaltScat (196), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jan 27, 2008 I wish I would have photographed the tap. Although the description states it is not found on the Belgian Market, I was able to find and drink it in Amsterdam. Orangish-yellow color with a rose head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is rather lacking but with hints of yeast, spice, berries, and caramel. The flavor was similar with a very light syrup or sweet taste. Carbonation was noticeable and I do not think the alcohol content was as high as reported. Nice body and smooth on the way down. Overall enjoyable but not one of the best Leffe’s I have had. strings (325), Sydney, Australia Jan 27, 2008 On tap at Belgian Beer Cafe. Strange one, and a bit cordial-like for my taste. If it is indeed a blend of the blond and the dark, doesn;t work as well as others I’ve tried (like the Bernard for instance). janubio (125), Spain Sep 18, 2007 On draught. Amber-salmon colour, with a creamy pinky head. Aroma is floral, spicies (cardamome?), cherries, acid, but with some sweetness. Silky flavor with a bit sour ending. Taste of cherries, cinnamon, spicies.
