Pitcher pour at 2009 GABF. Pours a thin white head, over a pale yellow (SRM 3) body.....nose has mild allspice, coriander.....taste initially is sweet malts, sugars, finishes slightly drier, but still sweet, there are mild to moderate spice tones throughout...mouth feel light carbonation low. Although still sweet, and therefore unbalanced, this is an improvement over the regular Asylum. Tasting on 9/26/09

(Draught, side by side with the regular version) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of orange peel, oak, and yeast. Flavor of orange pulp, Belgian yeast, candi sugar, light citrus, and alcohol with a dry finish.
