Commercial Description:
This American Style Hefeweizen (pronounced He-fe-vite-zin) is unfiltered and naturally cloudy from the generous use of imported wheat malt. It has a refreshing, bready flavor and a distinct creamy, taste and texture. This lightly hopped beer is very enjoyable and easy to drink with a great wheat after taste.

On tap. Clear golden with a white head. Lightly malty aroma. Medium body, sweet malts and a dry, hoppy finish. Not bad as such just way off style for a Hefe. 080709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Light fruity and cornish aroma. Flavour is sweet, light wheaty and mild fruity. Vague bitterness into a mild finish with a hint of esters.

Sample at the Santa Clarita location. Served with a lemon. This brew is a hazy dark yellow color with a thin bone white head that fizzes away quickly. Thin ring of lacing on the glass. The aroma is wheaty with touches of fruit and malt. Light-bodied with a sweet fruit and wheat character. Mild yeast is in the background. The finish is round and wheaty with a mild spice aftertaste. Barely average overall.

Draft; at Mission Valley location. Poured a hazy, yellow color with a medium sized white head. Arooma of hay, wheat and yeast. Not a great aroma nor characteristic of the style. Flavor was similar; more of an American wheat/wheat ale. If this is truly a hefe, it totally missed the mark.

new brew on tap @ scottsdale location...pours an almost clear orange shade of gold with no head. pale malty aroma has a bit of brown sugar, lemon and wheat. alcohol comes through in the flavor along with pale malt, wheat, yeasty spiciness, straw and a dry grassy hoppiness. finishes dry. cheap wheat bread and light yeast present in the aftertaste. light to medium body and medium carbonation.
