| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2004 (Draft: O’Brien’s in San Diego, CA) Supposedly the first attempt at a wet hopped beer by Left Coast and Tom Nickel, so I expect future batches to be more impressive; Here, the hoppy, grapefruit flavor is dominant, with not too much else going on beyond the hoppiness; It’s quite bitter from start to finish, and as expected, the palate is pretty clean and crisp; The nose is moderately hoppy, but not as aromatic as expected; Dark golden color, somewhat cloudy; Pours with absolutely no head, so obviously there is no lacing
