Commercial Description:
Here at Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the first breweries to pioneer a Double IPA style beer. In 2003, we brewed our first Double IPA, and haven’t looked back since. This hop monster uses Premium American 2- Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. The recipe calls for hops to be used in every step of the brewing process; in the mash, in a hop back, in the fermenter, and in the bright tanks. We use hop extract, hop pellets and hop flowers, hence the name Hop Juice. Hop Juice spends more than 4 weeks dry hopping in the fermenter and the bright beer tank. It is approximately 9.4% abv and has massive IBUs. Hop usage is over 4lbs per barrel. Hopeheads, step up to the plate! Thanks to Kingpin,I am on such a roll of fantastic brews. This aroma was like sticking my head into a bag of citus hops, smelled like a creamsicle at first, stunning in its all around great hop fragrance, flavor was a huge wash of bittering hops, with some caramel backing, not that theres anything wrong with that, but a little more mix of flavoring hops would have put this closer to the top still a wonderful hop bomb

Bomber. Thanks to Axilla for sharing. Poured slightly hazy golden in color with a large off white head. Aroma of floral hops, a bit of citrus hops. Tastes of floral hops, sweet caramel malt and it seems to hides the alcohol well. Very nice double IPA at 9.4%.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange. Aroma flavor is hoppy pine, sweet malt, spice and noticable etoh in the finish. Decent.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with citrus hops, alcohol, and spicy yeast. Taste is the same as aroma but not as prominent. Medium resiny mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good.

Pours a bright orange with lively carbonation. Aroma is heavy on the citrus and is extremely hoppy. Flavor explodes with a massive amount of sticky, hoppy goodness and a good deal of alcohol. I’m not sure if this bottle is fresher than several of the recent reviews, but this is a hop monster that delivers on the promise its name implies. Great stuff.

Bottle. Pours a particulate filled orange amber with tiny off white head. Aroma is kinda sweet and malty with some floral hoppiness. Flavor is similar, blending a sweet and caramel maltiness with a rather moderate bitterness and a resiny and lightly herbal hop presence. Rather light on both the hop flavors and hoppy bitterness for something that calls itself "hop juice" and my expectation may have thrown me off a bit. A slightly sticky mouthfeel with a rather clean finish. Good beer overall, but not the hop bomb I had expected.

Pours a slightly hazy amber with an almost white head. Quite bitter with some malty sweetness. Heavy hops aromas of grapefruit and a bit of resin. Hints of caramel sweetness. Full bodied with a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Long bitter finish.Very good.

Bottle. A orange/amber beer with a off-white head. The aroma and taste is dusty and of caramel malt, fruits, peach. Medium body with a dry dusty, light alcoholic finish.
